I undertook my musical voyage in the deep sea of Indian music when I started learning music at a very tender age. I am really fortunate to have the blessings & guidance from my gurus Shri Debdas Ganguly, Prof. M. Vijayalakshmi, Prof. Najma Parveen Ahmed and Ustad Allauddin Khan. My formal training in Indian Classical Music of Kirana Gharana , also helped me immensely to grasp different styles of Indian music that covers Geet, Tappa, Thumri, Ghazal, Folk Music ,Nazrul Geeti, and Rabindra Sangeet in different Indian languages.

I am privileged to perform at various places in my motherland India. I have been fortunate to participate at musical concerts at Indian International Centre and Indian Habitat Centre. I have also been able to send out the eternal message of Indian music through my performances in different parts of the world. I received quite a few prestigious awards for my contribution in music. In addition, I was invited to perform at Radio and TV programs.

I have been awarded PhD degree in Indian Classical Music from Delhi University (Faculty of Music and Fine Arts). To continue my academic interest in Indian music I have authored three books and have contributed my writing in music journals. I also have deep interest in song writing and composing. Recently, I have become fortunate to teach a group of promising kids in Academy of Bangla Art and Culture (ABAC), Dallas, TX to nurture talents for future upholding rich Bengali language and culture.

My passion in other art forms such as painting, and sculpture along with my interest in photography has also contributed to my everlasting bonding with music. Profound love for music has also motivated me to work for making our world suitable for deriving the real pleasure of music. My humble contributions towards poverty alleviation, help for underprivileged children, promoting solidarity, peace and harmony in the society are some steps to achieve my ultimate goal.
